Wild Vet Walkabout is a travelogue with a difference

A fascinating blend of adventure travelogue, veterinary anecdote and state-of-the-planet wake up call, this series about a vet's walkabout  took more than ten years to write, photograph and illustrate.

Even the big names in documentary will struggle to put this kind of product together - it's the result of a lifetime's determination.

In the first part of the book, THE WILD VET invites you to join him in Africa, his continent of birth and nationality. It's an adventure of almost epic proportions, featuring animal orientated work in some of Africa's most beautiful  - and most dangerous  - regions.

In the second part of the book, the WILD VET continues his walkabout beyond Africa's shores. Work with animals, once again, provides a perfect prism for looking into how people live in different parts of the world.

Testimonials:

"Intriguing photos, a naturalist's eye for drawing together with the intimate details describing what life for a bush vet is really like"

Will Travers, CEO of the Born Free Foundation

"It is an excellent piece, in the best traditions of Jonothan Kingdon and George Schaller."

Tony Fitzjohn, Caretaker of the Lion called Christian, Author of Born Wild and Manager of the George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust
